TruthCents was built to help families save money on the things they buy every day. We know budgets are tight — groceries, household essentials, kids' supplies, and personal care all add up fast. Our mission is to make it easy to find real savings without spending hours hunting for deals.
What We Do
Our system continuously monitors retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target around the clock. When we find a deal that meets our quality thresholds, it's automatically categorized, scored, and published to the site. High-scoring deals from trusted merchants are published immediately. Others go through additional verification before reaching you.
How We Score Deals
Every deal gets a quality score from 0 to 100 based on four factors:
- Discount depth (0-40 points) — How significant is the price reduction compared to the original or typical price?
- Community engagement (0-30 points) — Are real people upvoting and discussing this deal on the source platform?
- Freshness (0-20 points) — How recently was this deal discovered? Newer deals score higher, with scores decaying over time.
- Source reliability (0-10 points) — Deals from established, well-known retailers get a reliability boost.
Deals scoring 80+ earn a Top Deal badge. Deals scoring 60+ earn a Great Deal badge. These scores decay over time so stale deals don't dominate the feed.
Our Standards
- We only publish deals from known, reputable merchants.
- Deals are automatically expired based on their type (flash sales expire faster than coupon codes).
- Every deal links directly to the retailer so you can verify prices yourself.
- We clearly disclose our affiliate relationships (see How We Work).
