How TruthCents Makes Money

TruthCents earns a small commission when you click through our links and make a purchase at a participating retailer. This is called affiliate marketing, and it's how we keep the site free to use. You never pay more — the commission comes from the retailer, not from you.

Our Affiliate Partners

We participate in affiliate programs with the following retailers and networks:

• Amazon — TruthCents is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
• Walmart — Via the Walmart Affiliate Program (Impact Radius).
• Target — Via the Target Affiliate Program.

Editorial Independence

Our deal scoring algorithm operates independently of our affiliate relationships. A deal's score is based on discount depth, community engagement, freshness, and source reliability — not on whether we earn a commission from it. We frequently feature deals from merchants where we have no affiliate relationship.

We never accept payment to artificially rank or promote specific deals. Our scoring is algorithmic and transparent (see About for the full breakdown).

Price Accuracy

Prices and availability are sourced at the time of scraping and are subject to change. We make our best effort to keep deals current through automated expiration (deals expire based on their type) and periodic re-verification, but we recommend confirming the price on the retailer's site before purchasing.

Your Privacy

We use standard analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how people use the site. We don't sell your personal data. Comments and votes use IP-based anonymization — we don't require accounts or store personal information beyond what's needed to prevent spam.
